The Landmap Service is the UK national archive of satellite mapping data. It provides online access to a range of spatial data for research, learning and teaching. The service also supports the spatial science community with a range of Learning Materials and a dedicated Helpdesk.

To access the resource go to Library & IT Tab in the portal. In the e-Library container click on the Databases link. On the Library Databases page choose Landmap from the alpaabetical list to enter the resource.

Note: Landmap requires individual registration to use the download facility and advanced image processing course. Registration is normally once an academic year.

Film & Sound Online - New Case Studies

Three new Film & Sound Online case studies have been added to the learning materials area of the website. The latest case studies are:

* The Negro Soldier in World War Two
* Classical Music within a Level 3 History course
* Church Architecture in the Middle Ages
This brings the total to ten of these themed guides which have been created by commissioning users within the community.

The Negro Soldier in World War Two was created by Dr. Andrew Dawson from the School of Humanities at University of Greenwich. More detailed information about his case study can be found on the Film & Sound Online site. The call is still open for further case studies:
